Palm Beach Gardens Pulmonologist Offers Telemedicine Appointments

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (March 20, 2020) – Local pulmonologist, Dr. Joseph A. Giaimo, is now moving all patients to telemedicine appointments effective immediately. This practice shift is an effort to continue to serve current patients, while reducing the number of emergency room visits and protecting our frontline physicians.

“During the coronavirus outbreak, I am urging patients to consider replacing in-person visits with a telehealth visit,” said Dr. Joseph Giaimo. “Many of my patients are at a higher risk from severe illness due to chronic lung conditions. By offering this technology, I am able to continue to treat my patients while they stay in a safe, isolated environment, limiting potential exposure to the coronavirus.”

Patients can expect a similar process to an in-person visit to Dr. Giaimo’s office when using telehealth services. Before the appointment, a patient will need to provide their medical history, any medications they are currently taking, any surgeries they’ve had, and a family history of disease.

“My primary goal is to ensure patient and employee safety while I continue to provide outstanding patient care,” said Dr. Giaimo. “Through the use of telehealth, I will continue to consult, diagnose, and treat patients without risking their safety with face-to-face appointments.”

Patients can access Dr. Giaimo’s telemedicine option through the patient portal on his website, giaimolungdoc.com, or by downloading the Healow app.
